At Home
Teeth Whitening
Let’s face
it; everyone is looking for different ways to a cleaner, brighter smile. Pesky
stains can leave a person feeling unattractive and self-conscious. While there
are some who seek professional help to a brighter smile, it can get quite
expensive. Luckily, there are ways to a brighter smile at home. These options
are much cheaper and can show results just after a few days.
Baking Soda
and Hydrogen Peroxide
This is a
common mixture whenever at home natural teeth whitening arise.
It comes highly recommended by those who consistently stick to the procedure.
Firstly, mix the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide until it forms an even paste
and set it off to the side. Secondly, using tin foil, create a mold around the
upper teeth. Apply the paste to the inside of the foil and hold in place over
the top teeth. It is alright to put the entire foil mold in the mouth and “bite
down” to hold it into place. After about fifteen minutes, remove the foil and
rinse. This procedure two times a week, preferably in the morning before
brushing will provide excellent results. The results will take a few weeks to
arise; this is not a “15 minutes to a bright smile” idea, but over time it will
not only whiten teeth, but also keep them white as well.
Orange Peels
This may
seem like a contradictory application, as the acidic orange juices are
typically the culprit of staining teeth, but the peel itself poses strong stain
fighting properties. The albedo, or the inside of the orange peel, contains
limonene. Limonene is a natural solvent cleaner and can work wonders on the
enamel of teeth. By cutting and slicing an organic orange, use the peel and
simply rub it over the teeth. Afterwards, rinse or brush teeth and discard of
the orange peel. Each orange peel should only be used once. This method is not
supported by evidence, but there is no harm in trying it. The superficial
stains that lay just on the surface will likely be removed. There are many
users that thank simple orange peels for their bright and beautiful smile.
There are
many other options described on
'http://teethwhiteningbeforeandafter.net/, and can be implemented into
everyday hygiene. Many of them take a short amount of time to accomplish. Many
experts recommend using the baking soda/peroxide paste while taking a shower.
Once out of the shower, remove the foil and brush teeth as usual. If the
tactics do not work, than one should consult a dentist for more options, as the
stains may be an underlying issue.
